MEMORIAL DAY PARADE
Margate Memorial Day Parade
Monday, May 27, 2013
Lineup begins 9:30am at Union Avenue School, and the march will start at 10:00am. A wreath laying ceremony will be conducted at the All Wars Memorial on Mansfield & Ventnor Ave.
In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will take place in the Margate PAC.
MUNICIPAL OFFICES RELOCATED
The new Municipal Complex located at 9001 Winchester Avenue (corner of Union & Winchester)currently houses all administrative offices with the exception of the Police and Fire Departments.
The Fire Department has finished the renovations to the main Fire Station located at Ventnor & Washington Avenue and have re-established operations from that location.
The Police Department is located at 111 N. Decatur Avenue and was not impacted by the storm which allowed the operation to remain at its current location.
Commission Meetings are held at Municipal Complex in the multi-purpose room. Dates of Meetings will be advertised and published on this site.
The Municipal Court Violations Bureau will be operating at 9001 Winchester Ave (corner of Winchester & Union Ave). On Court Days only, the Municipal Court will operate at Longport Court - 2305 Atlantic Ave - Longport, NJ. The phone numbers are: Margate 822-1998 / Longport 822-2147.
For Disaster Assistance, you may register online at disasterassistance.gov or call 1-800-621-FEMA and the Red Cross may be reached at 609-646-8330.
As you begin to address the issues at your residence, it's important to contact the Margate Building Dept for proper guidance and safety while your cleanup and repairs begin. ADOPT A BEACH
THE CITY OF MARGATE IN ASSOCIATION WITH THE BEAUTIFICATION BOARD IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE A NEW PROGRAM FOR THE RESIDENTS AND VISITORS. THE ADOPT A BEACH PROGRAM IS A WAY TO SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR OUR GREAT CITY AND THE FINE BEACHES THAT WE ARE LUCKY ENOUGH TO HAVE.

CITY YARD
Margate City citizens may deliver household trash and recycling only to the City yard in passenger cars, passenger vans and station wagons on scheduled days and times. No construction debris will be accepted at the City yard. Proof of Margate City residency is required in the form of utility bill or tax bill and drivers license. The Yard is open all year Wed 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and May to Sept additionally Sun 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Commercial businesses, private businesses and contractors are not permitted to use this facility.
DOG PARK
The Margate City Dog Park will officially open October 16, 2009. To utilize the park please download the document, complete the application and return it to Margate City Hall.

Nonpoint Source Pollution, or people pollution, is a contamination of our ground water, waterways, and ocean that results from everyday activities such as fertilizing the lawn, walking pets, changing motor oil and littering. With each rainfall, pollutants generated by these activities are washed into storm drains that flow into our waterways and ocean. They also can soak into the ground contaminating the ground water below.

Home Improvement Contractors
All residents should be informed that beginning January 1, 2006 all Home Improvement Contractors must be registered with the State of New Jersey and are no longer registered with the City of Margate. Before you enter into a contract to build or repair at your home please verify the contractor status by calling the State at 888-656-6225.
